ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Director of Growth and Monetization to join our product team. This key leadership role will oversee teams focused on growth and product marketing, payments and billing, experimentation, SEO, and in-product advertising experiences. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth through both customer acquisition and effective monetization strategies—leveraging data, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to scale impact. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, and brings deep experience in performance marketing, user engagement, and optimizing the user journey to maximize value.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Acquisition: Drive strategy for acquiring new customers via SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, and partnerships.
Retention & Engagement: Launch initiatives that increase customer lifetime value through onboarding improvements, personalized campaigns, and loyalty programs.
Monetization Optimization: Analyze pricing, packaging, and revenue streams to maximize growth and profitability.
Trial Conversion: Optimize funnels to drive free-to-paid conversions and expansion revenue.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team focused on growth and monetization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with product, engineering, sales, and customer success to ensure unified execution.
Model Alignment: Ensure the monetization strategy aligns with business priorities and resolve internal conflicts where they arise.
Data & Performance: Define and track KPIs including acquisition cost, conversion rate, CLTV, and churn.
A/B Testing: Build and lead a testing culture to experiment, validate, and iterate.
Reporting: Analyze and report performance, adapting tactics as needed.
Market Awareness: Stay current with industry trends, benchmarks, and tools.
Innovation: Foster experimentation to uncover new levers for growth.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing and scaling high-impact teams.
Strong understanding of the streaming media ecosystem—particularly in areas like content strategy, viewer engagement, and monetization.
Hands-on knowledge of monetization models including SVOD, AVOD, and hybrid approaches.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Expertise in experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
Experience working in the streaming media industry, particularly with subscription or ad-supported products.
Background in mobile-first or cross-platform consumer experiences.
Experience with performance marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Looker).
Knowledge of compliance and payment processing systems across global markets.
Understanding of regulatory considerations around advertising (e.g., privacy, data use).
Prior success scaling a DTC product from launch through hypergrowth.
Experience working in an agile, test-and-learn product development environment.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-240,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
