JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX is looking for a Manager of Protective Intelligence to join their Global Intelligence team in Los Angeles, CA. As the FOX Manager of Protective Intelligence, you will detect, analyze, and assess potential and real threats to executives, talent, and all business units within the FOX Corporation umbrella. You will report to the Manager, Global Intelligence. You will be an integral part of the FOX Global Security team, directly responsible for researching, analyzing, and publishing risk assessments affecting FOX operations and productions in the US and overseas. You will leverage your deep substantive knowledge of global security and geopolitics to influence some of the company’s most complex and strategically significant decisions.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, investigate, and assess social media and open-source information to produce actionable intelligence reports, presentations, briefs, and threat assessments to protect executives, talent, and productions
- Proactively identify, monitor, and report on imminent threats and develop training standards for GSOC Operators to assist with 24/7 threat monitoring
- Manage, organize, and audit protective intelligence platforms in the GSOC, along with effective AI integrations; develop processes and workflows to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal data privacy laws
- Identify and build search criteria for effective use of social media and asset monitoring platforms
- Develop and maintain relationships with FOX Investigations, Legal, HR, InfoSec, and NYC Security Team to assist with sensitive corporate investigations
- Research, analyze, and process open-source information to produce strategic intelligence reports, presentations, travel briefs, and security risk assessments that provide FOX Global Security with site security, protective intelligence, travel security, and global awareness
- Identify and build search criteria for effective use of social media mining platforms
- Support operational and tactical intelligence needs by proactively identifying emerging threats, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) from various FOX Departments and Business Units, and publishing situational reports on imminent threats to the business
- Respond effectively, verbally and in writing, to key departments such as EHS, HR, Corp Comms, Legal, Travel, Cyber/InfoSec, Real Estate, etc., on requests for strategic or tactical intelligence support
- Be an active partner in the constant reevaluation of products and output to maximize efficiency and readership; engaging with customer feedback and adapting to their needs as requested
- Develop and maintain relationships with studio intelligence partners, federal law enforcement, and other public agencies (DSAC, OSAC, InfraGard, etc.)
- Travel as necessary to assist with major event support (FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, etc.)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 3+ years’ experience in the intelligence field, whether private or public sector, and a deep understanding of the intelligence cycle and its application in a dynamic corporate security environment
- Experience in the sports/ entertainment industry: broadcast, television, etc.
- Experience with open-source intelligence tools and techniques
- Experience with mapping and/or intelligence/information management systems
- Flexible schedule to support weekend, holiday, and international events, as needed
- Deep appreciation for current domestic and global affairs, geopolitics, and history – be an avid consumer of multiple points of view and have the ability to think critically to articulate issues in a straightforward manner
- Effective presentation and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with a variety of audiences including executives, talent, clients, and employees
- Proven ability to accurately draw conclusions by synthesizing raw data and information from multiple, unrelated sources into a tailored, comprehensive product
- Ability to quickly forge productive relationships and build networks at all levels, internally and externally to FOX
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision, at times under adverse and stressful conditions
- Ability to work independently in a dispersed virtual team structure
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communications skills
- Willing to work a flexible schedule and travel, sometimes on short notice
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
- Bachelor’s degree desirable in a field related to intelligence or global security and/or 5+ years of experience as an intelligence analyst or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
- Formal certifications in intelligence collection, collection management, intelligence analysis, investigations, or other intelligence disciplines from a government or professional agency

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-110,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
