FOX Weather is looking for an Associate Producer to join our team in New York. In this role, you will pitch stories, conduct research, coordinate video and graphic elements, and work closely with our on-air meteorologists. You'll also help grow our social media presence and source the best user-generated content. The ideal candidate is a strong producer with excellent editorial judgement who thrives in a fast-paced, breaking news environment and is passionate about delivering informative, compelling weather content.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pitch daily story ideas, from breaking weather news to compelling weather-related features
Help produce segments for FOX Weather programming
Find the best sound bites, video, and graphics to build informative and engaging segments
Write scripts and banners, cut video, and occasionally book guests all while quickly responding to breaking weather news
Quickly identify strong user-generated content from multiple sources, ensuring the best elements are incorporated into FOX Weather coverage
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
Background in a news or news-related production environment
Strong writing and segment producing skills
Experience working in a live control room
Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond quickly to breaking news
Familiarity with broadcast weather display system is a plus
Passion for weather; weather production experience is a plus

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
