As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal technical leadership role in building next-generation AI-driven applications, services, and tools that create automatic highlights. Your past experience in digital media and video will be instrumental in building dynamic workflows and orchestrations for both live and VOD (Video on Demand) content.
Your expertise in multi-cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Databricks will be crucial in our distributed computing landscape. We work on cutting edge projects using AI that includes building conversational agents using LLMs, generating automatic highlights, contextualizing videos and articles at scale, driving live storytelling, powering bleeding edge consumer products

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement scalable AI/ML-driven applications that generate and manage assets for live streaming and VOD.
Build intelligent orchestration layers that integrate AI systems, models, and services.
Develop agent-based and retrieval-driven systems to power automation and decision support.
Prototype new approaches and productionize solutions that drive measurable business impact.
Collaborate closely with product, data, and business stakeholders to define and deliver solutions.
Instill high engineering standards while operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Mentor and support other engineers on the team.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Experience in Software Engineering, Data Science, or ML Engineering.
Strong background in live media streaming and handling VOD content.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture.
Familiarity with modern AI techniques, including LLMs and retrieval-based systems.
Experience designing APIs (REST or GraphQL) and microservices.
Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Databricks.
Ability to work efficiently and deliver in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
Experience with agent orchestration frameworks or workflow engines.
Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages.
Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $143,000.00-190,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
