We are looking for a sharp, proactive, organized, and responsible individual to provide administrative support for an anchor. In this position, you will be responsible for administrative tasks such as scheduling and planning, coordinating travel, research, and more. We will rely on you to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative in a fast-paced, 24-hour news environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a desire to work and learn everything there is to know about the news business at the #1 cable news channel in the country.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a constantly evolving calendar of appointments, meetings, and events
Assist with all on-air guest hosting & appearances, including scheduling of cars, hair & makeup
Promptly respond to any requests or last-minute demands
Manage social media accounts and pitch unique content
Ensure the smooth operation of field shoots and other special projects
Serve as point person for podcast production, including the booking of podcast guests
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
A strong interest in News
Administrative experience
An organized workflow with strong attention to detail
Overall professionalism, including strong communication skills and work ethic
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to handle confidential information and interact with high-level executives
Ability to travel
Understanding that the news never stops, and some work may be required outside regular hours
Knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture
Experience with social media analytics
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $21.00-27.65 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
