The Role: What You’ll Do
You won't just post links; you will create a digital experience. Your mission is to ensure digital and social dominance through compelling, UX-focused storytelling.
Content Creation: Produce high-impact text stories, photos, graphics, and social media elements that resonate with local users and beyond.
Social Mastery: Reach and engage audiences across Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms to build community loyalty.
Innovation & AI: Identify and implement innovative ways to use AI tools to streamline content workflows and enhance our digital storytelling capabilities.
SEO & Analytics: Optimize every piece of content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and monitor real-time analytics to pivot strategies based on performance.
Newsroom Liaison: Serve as the bridge between the newsroom and our digital platforms, ensuring breaking news is delivered with speed and accuracy.
Collaboration: Work with the Group Content Team and other FTS markets to distribute high-interest stories at scale.
What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for a "clean-copy" fanatic who could copy-edit in their sleep and knows a big story the second they hear it.
Expert Storytelling: Superior news judgment and impeccable writing skills. You have a zero-tolerance policy for grammatical errors.
Platform Expertise: You are a social media expert who is proficient in Content Management Systems (CMS), video publishing, and live streaming.
Technical Savvy: Experience with video and photo editing (Adobe Creative Cloud is a major plus) and digital analytics tools.
Deadline Driven: You thrive under pressure and can manage multiple goals simultaneously without losing your obsession with the details.
Winning Mindset: You are team-oriented but personally driven to meet and exceed every goal. You want to win every. single. day.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of experience developing and publishing content (including news) on digital and social platforms is preferred.
Education: BA/BS degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, or a related field with an emphasis on digital publishing.
Communication: Stellar communication skills and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $60,000.00-67,500.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
