FOX is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in Tempe, AZ. Reporting to the onsite GSOC Manager, this role oversees, trains, and manages a 24/7 contract security concierge team. Responsibilities include supporting emergency response operations at the FOX Technology Center (FTC) and the FOX Earth Station (FES), crisis communications, incident triage and documentation, and tactical/operational intelligence reporting. The position also requires travel as needed to support special events across FOX assets enterprise wide.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-day management, training, and operational performance of the 24/7 Tempe-based FOX GSOC
Assist with triaging an emergency or crisis for the FOX Technology Center (FTC), employees, properties, productions, and events globally
Manage and maintain a redundant, back-up GSOC for the main FOX Pico Lot GSOC in Los Angeles, including all security systems, incident management, and crisis communications platforms. Collaborate with the GSOC Manager, Los Angeles, to customize processes to handle all service and emergency calls for the studio lot in case of a catastrophic outage or disaster. Assist the FOX Pico Lot GSOC with processes and procedures that align and provide overlapping threat monitoring coverage and incident triage assistance
Work with the FTC Security Director and GSOC Manager to train and lead a contracted team by providing hands-on training, operational guidance, and tailored mentorship
Manage and motivate teams in a dynamic and rapidly evolving threat landscape. Focus will be centered around the use of people, process, and technology to ensure life-safety, security, and resiliency.
Draft and oversee the coordinated implementation and maintenance of complex policies, workflows, and procedures related to the GSOC and affected stakeholders
Assist with system and technology testing, evaluation, implementation, and training to improve the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of emergency response protocols
Assist with strategic planning to keep pace with and improve the growth of FOX Corporation business units, the number of sites, and evolving customer and stakeholder needs
Maintain professional relationships with new business units and Departments (EHS, Risk Management, etc.), and supporting marketing and advertising GSOC capabilities across FOX Corporation
Analyze, track, and publish weekly, quarterly, and annual GSOC metrics as asked by GSOC Senior Management, to drive future improvement of processes, onboard new technology, and right size employees’ tasks and duties
Ensure compliance with FOX Security expectations and policies, monitor physical assets, and make rapid notifications via crisis communication tools to stakeholders
Ensure quality control of incident response and event management products for senior level visibility
Support the Intelligence Team via notification of threats and security-related intelligence with respect to the risk/impact of FOX assets
As necessary, travel to corporate locations and marquee events to provide on-the-ground GSOC support for incident management, crisis communications, and inclement weather monitoring and reporting.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
4+ years of experience in a Security Coordinator or Supervisor role with at least 2+ years supervising and/or training on the critical aspects of a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC)
Experience and knowledge of various access control platforms, video management systems, incident management applications/software, mass communications tools, and inclement weather monitoring
Demonstrable success in solving complex problems, training personnel with various backgrounds, and being involved in technical projects
Demonstrated ability to adjust to change and pivot effectively
Proven ability to interact effectively with executive level management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive process improvement and enforcement
Excellent communicator in writing, speaking, and presenting
Adept at identifying and responding to crises; provide front-line leadership in coordinating responses to a myriad of crises and appropriate escalation and triage
Dependable, responsive team player with strong business acuity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $76,000.00-80,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
