We seek a top-notch block and package producer who is energized by working on a broad portfolio of stories from politics and breaking news to entertainment.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITES:
Package produce – pitch stories, write and produce compelling packages and news stories
Oversee production of news content for affiliate newscasts, digital and social media platforms
Copy edit scripts and screen video content prior to distribution
Pitch, find and produce news items for daily blocks/rundowns
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Exemplary news judgment and grasp of journalism best practices
Detail oriented
Excellent writing skills, spelling and grammar
Ability to work well with others under strict deadlines
Writing and producing experience at an affiliate or network level
Strong knowledge of current events
Willingness to work flexible hours (this is an overnight position)
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in related field)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-90,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
