ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Facilities Engineer will oversee and conduct preventative maintenance, monitor the operations of the building including but not limited to; adjustments to the HVAC, electrical, BMS, FLS and water purification systems. Will maintain chilled water and HVAC equipment as well as other mechanical and electrical equipment. The Senior Facilities Engineer works under the direction of the Manager, Facilities Engineering.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all building systems and critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the building envelope, data center and critical environments including fire/life safety, plumbing, mechanical and electrical equipment
Electrical, mechanical installation, repair and maintenance of equipment and building automation systems
Plumbing installation, repair and maintenance of chilled water systems and general plumbing needs throughout the facility
Conducts a routine and on-going assessment of the building systems operations.
Perform tests, rounds and analyzes data to assure the proper functioning of critical equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment
Ensure efficient operation of all building systems
Maintain proper lighting in all areas of the building
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures as well as utilization of protective equipment
Maintain open and on-going communication with leadership, colleagues, contractors and vendors
Assist in updating and/or maintain as-built drawings
Respond quickly to emergency situations (i.e. power outages, fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns
Assist with maintaining inventory control programs/purchase tools, parts and supplies
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies and ADC directives as relates to building operations
Work Environment:
Essential duties are completed within the following conditions:
Work environments are both inside and outside, in climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled conditions
Exposure to wet, extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, mechanical hazards, radiant energy hazards, electrical hazards, explosive hazards and burn hazards
Climbing ladders and scaffolding as required to complete work
Working in a live broadcasting environment

This position is onsite and operates on a rotating 4x10 schedule (four 10-hour shifts per week). The initial training period will follow a rotating 5x8 schedule (five 8-hour shifts per week).
As part of a team supporting a 24/7/365 environment, flexibility with scheduling — including nights, weekends, and holidays — is essential to ensure seamless coverage and support.
Job will require the use of a company owned vehicle
Must possess and maintain a valid, current driver’s license and safely operate a company-owned vehicle.

Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree (AA/AS) in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Completion of a technical or trade school program in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
Military experience in facility operations, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or engineering specialties.
Journeyman-level experience in mechanical or electrical trades.
Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in facility maintenance or building engineering.
Certifications such as EPA Universal, HVAC license, or electrical/mechanical certifications strongly preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $28.75-54.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
