FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We have an opportunity to hire a temporary Promotions producer to support our Creative Services Department. The ideal candidate will adopt and creatively support, develop, and produce the Station(s) brand, look, and messaging across all platforms for On-air, On-line and print projects to include writing, producing, On-Air Image campaigns, station IDs, News topical promos, Radio ads, Custom syndicated show and block promos, End-pages and lower third graphics, VO Tags, Photograph direction and editing.
To create compelling and innovative promotional messages for FOX 35, FOX 51, and FOX35 PLUS, on every platform, with a focus on excellence in writing and best-in-class production skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with VP Creative, Promotion Managers and the creative services team on branding and marketing strategies across all platforms
- Embrace the use of process language, in writing, and sell brand distinction in special reports, news topicals and image marketing.
- Develop, shoot and produce custom, creative concepts for TSRs, proof of brand (POBs) news specials, station events and programming spots.
- Develop, shoot and produce custom, news marketing messages for streaming, digital and social media platforms
- Develop, shoot and produce custom, creative concepts for syndicated programming
- Work with Sales Specialists with custom, client-advertising campaigns, spec spots, and samples scripts for all platforms.
- Assist client services in the writing/producing of commercials, and other sales marketing projects when necessary
- Must be skilled in shooting with cinema cameras, lighting, and editing with full Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Premiere PRO
- Work with station Graphic Artist or the FTS GRAPHICS HUB to create and ensure innovative, visually interesting graphic designs
- Must be a passionate self-starter who works well in a collaborative team environment
- Must take initiative and present BIG ideas, and find new and innovative production techniques
- Must incorporate research into projects, and handle tight deadlines
- Must have excellent communication skills and be collaborative across all station departments
- Assist at station-sponsored events as needed/assigned
- Stay current on promotional trends in the industry
- Assist with filling daily logs in Wide Orbit as needed
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to daily operational duties of the Creative Services Department
- Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends and during severe weather situations as needed and/or scheduled
- Required to maintain valid driver’s license and drive company vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
TYPICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
- Regularly stand; walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Broadcast Production, Marketing or broadcast-related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in creative services or the newsroom at a television station
- Have hands-on experience with a local news product
- Have flexibility in working hours to meet high-volume demands and tight deadlines
- Prefer experience using iNews and WideOrbit

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $60,000.00-65,000.00 annually.
