FOX News Edge serves more than 175 newsrooms, providing content that is a cornerstone of local newscasts on FOX television stations across the country. We seek a top-notch Overnight Supervising Producer who is energized by leading a small team focused on a broad portfolio of stories from breaking news to politics and entertainment. You will oversee the conception, writing, editing and digitization of dozens of stories that air in morning newscasts nationwide.
This role has the following shifts: 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM Sunday through Thursday
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with producers and writers to help choose and execute the dozens of stories we feed to local newsrooms during every shift
Manage a team of writers and producers and be responsible for Edge’s editorial content over the course of a shift
Take lead during breaking news; assigning staff, communicating with multiple parties including upper management and making coverage of major news available to stations
Package produce – pitch stories, write and produce compelling packages and news stories as needed
Oversee production of news content for affiliate newscasts, digital and social media platforms
Copy edit scripts and screen video content prior to distribution
Pitch and produce news items for daily blocks/rundowns
Traffic and communicate details of six “Edge Live Channels” which provide events and live video to client newsrooms
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
5 years of experience, preferably with some experience at the network or major market level
Writing and producing experience at an affiliate or network level
Exemplary news judgment and grasp of journalism best practices
Strong knowledge of current events
Excellent writing skills, an eye for spelling and grammar, and detail-oriented
Ability to work well with others under strict deadlines
Willingness to work overnight hours
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-90,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
