Fox TV Stations
FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Strategic Content Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our content strategy by evaluating audience trends, the competitive landscape, and strategic initiatives. You are a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for understanding audience behavior. By leveraging your strong analytical skills, you can translate data into actionable insights that drive content strategy and business growth.
In this role you will gather and interpret data to identify emerging content trends, viewing preferences, and consumer behavior patterns across all platforms. Your proactive approach in monitoring industry trends and competitor strategies will aid in your success in this role.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Collection and Analysis
- Track and analyze data from multiple sources to identify emerging content trends and audience preferences.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills to interpret consumer behavior patterns across all existing and emerging platforms, including Linear, FAST, FOX Local app, VOD news platforms, YouTube, and social media.
Audience Engagement & Growth
- Develop and evaluate audience engagement metrics to understand the effectiveness of current content strategies.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend actionable insights to enhance content performance.
- Develop strategies to grow and engage audiences across platforms, leveraging analytics to gain insight into audience preferences and emerging trends.
- Monitor competitor content strategies and assess their impact on audience engagement.
Strategic Insights
- Provide data-driven insights to inform content creation and strategic decisions.
- Stay informed on media trends and proactively anticipate advancements in emerging and innovative technologies.
- Support the protection and elevation of the station's brand across platforms by identifying areas of inconsistent messaging and recommending adjustments to ensure consistent adherence to high-quality standards.
Communication and Collaboration
- Deliver findings and insights promptly to facilitate informed decision-making processes. Ensure the SVP, General Manager, is immediately updated with any critical information.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to keep them informed, fostering teamwork in developing and executing station strategies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align content strategies with business objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working in analytics, media research, or management consulting.
- Proven experience in content analysis, data interpretation, and strategic planning.
- Interest and passion for brand and consumer/viewer analytics, such as viewer research, market data.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (Tableau is a plus).
- Expert using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $100,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
