FOX is seeking an experienced and business-minded attorney to join the FOX One legal team as Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs. FOX One is FOX’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform, uniting FOX Sports, FOX News, and FOX Entertainment in a single destination and delivering next-generation viewing experiences.
The Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs will support the FOX One marketing, product, and partnerships teams, providing practical, solutions-oriented transactional legal advice and support across the lifecycle of a fast-moving digital product. This attorney will manage the negotiation, drafting, and analysis of a wide range of commercial agreements to support the larger FOX One service. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders—as well as with subject-matter experts across the broader Fox Corporation legal organization.
The Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs reports to the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, FOX One, and is well-suited for an attorney who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys partnering closely with business teams, and can balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Advise on marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, media buys, promotions, and influencer partnerships, and negotiate and draft all associated agreements
Provide guidance on advertising and marketing compliance, including consumer protection, advertising standards, and platform-specific requirements
Provide legal counsel on digital product development, including user experiences, feature launches, consumer-facing disclosures, and platform functionality
Partner with marketing teams early in campaign planning to enable speed while managing legal and brand risk
Advise on legal compliance and regulatory considerations throughout the product development lifecycle
Collaborate with privacy, information security, and technology stakeholders to support compliant and scalable product initiatives
Assist in structuring partnership agreements to align with FOX One’s strategic goals while mitigating legal and operational risk
Coordinate with internal legal teams on matters involving intellectual property, privacy, and regulatory compliance
Serve as a trusted legal partner to business stakeholders, offering clear, practical advice tailored to business needs
Manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing effectively and escalating issues as appropriate
Stay current on developments in digital media, marketing, product, privacy, technology, and consumer protection laws relevant to a direct-to-consumer business
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school
8+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house, with experience in digital media, technology, or entertainment
Experience advising on digital products, marketing initiatives, and commercial partnerships
Working knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, and consumer protection considerations in a digital or streaming context
Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to balance legal risk with practical business objectives
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a broader legal and business team

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $247,000.00-315,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
