Red Seat Ventures (RSV), a FOX company, is seeking a strategic Vice President of Video Content Syndication & Licensing to lead distribution efforts across its portfolio of creator-led video properties. This individual will be responsible for extending the reach, visibility, and monetization of RSV's diverse content library; including short and long-form video, podcasts, documentaries, and live events, across third-party streaming platforms, FAST channels, legacy television networks, and emerging distribution channels.
As a senior leader within RSV's business development function, this role requires deep expertise in the streaming ecosystem, platform partnerships, and content licensing. The ideal candidate brings a disciplined approach to distribution strategy, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of driving audience growth and incremental revenue through data-driven decision-making. Collaboration across content production, marketing, operations, legal, and finance will be essential to success.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market distribution strategies for video content syndication and licensing via AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, and streaming business models
Identify, negotiate, and manage licensing agreements and partnerships with platform operators, aggregators, and content buyers across Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, YouTube, Roku, Pluto TV, Tubi, Apple TV+, and other leading distribution channels
Secure prime placement, favorable terms, and revenue-sharing opportunities that maximize content performance and financial returns
Analyze performance metrics, including views, engagement, retention, and revenue per title, using internal and external analytics tools to inform content strategy and production decisions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align distribution efforts with business objectives, promotional campaigns, and release windows
Oversee end-to-end distribution processes, including content preparation, asset delivery, platform compliance, and launch coordination
Monitor industry trends in video distribution technologies, algorithm changes, audience behaviors, and emerging platforms to identify new opportunities
Optimize distribution strategies to expand audience reach, increase discoverability, and drive incremental revenue streams
Develop and manage distribution budgets, forecasting revenue opportunities and ensuring cost-effective delivery
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
15+ years of experience in video content syndication and licensing within a major media company, studio, or streaming platform
Proven track record of successfully placing and monetizing TV series, podcasts (video), live events, documentaries, or similar content across major distribution platforms
Deep understanding of the streaming ecosystem, including platform algorithms, content windows, metadata best practices, encoding standards, DRM, and accessibility requirements
Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated success closing distribution deals, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships
Exceptional analytical acumen, with proficiency in analytics tools and content management systems
Demonstrated ability to drive audience growth, viewership, and revenue through strategic distribution and data-driven decision-making
Excellent communication skills and executive presence, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and managing complex cross-functional initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Business, Media, Communications, or related field

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $206,000.00-235,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
