We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting and finance team. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate billing, customer and project setup, and revenue reporting. The Staff Accountant will work cross-functionally with sales, production, operations, and leadership. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and comfortable identifying discrepancies across customers invoices and projects in a fast-paced, creator-driven media environment.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Support daily accounting functions, including accounts receivable (AR) and bank reconciliations
Monitor billing schedules and collections timing
Prepare revenue-related journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
Support the team with revenue recognition activities in accordance with GAAP
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Identify and assist with onboarding new or missing customers and projects, ensuring accurate setup in billing and accounting systems
Review customer invoices to identify mismatches, errors, or missing data across contracts, billing systems, and the general ledger
Partner with sales, production, and operations teams to resolve billing and customer setup issues and help identify process improvements
Assist with audit support and documentation
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus but not required
1-3 years of accounting experience supporting accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
Experience with Workday is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience with AP and AR systems.
Experience in media, entertainment, or public accounting is a plus.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-85,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
