What You’ll Do
Lead Daily Production: Responsible for all aspects of assigned newscasts – from story selection and editorial decisions to final delivery.
Create Compelling Content: Write, edit, and produce engaging stories and segments for broadcast and digital.
Coordinate Coverage: Work with the directors, assignment desk and editors, on-air staff, and field crews to manage live shots, visuals, and supporting materials.
Drive Digital Integration: Collaborate with digital and news teams to ensure stories reach audiences on all platforms.
Contribute Editorially: Participate in daily news and production meetings and help shape newsroom coverage strategies.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, reporting to the Executive Producer.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field; minimum of three years of experience in a medium-to-large market.
Editorial Judgment: Proven ability to identify, prioritize, and craft impactful stories with strong writing and storytelling skills.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with newsroom computer systems, live production tools, and non-linear editing.
Organization & Problem Solving: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with sound decision-making.
Creativity & Collaboration: Innovative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Professionalism: Maintains composure under pressure and contributes positively to newsroom culture.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $90,000.00-96,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
