JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE

FOX is reimagining what live entertainment can be—and the Media Control Center (MCC) is at the heart of that transformation. As a Media Control Center Operator I, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our live and scheduled content flowing flawlessly to millions of viewers.

You’ll monitor, manage, and troubleshoot the signals that power FOX’s digital and linear networks—from breaking news to major sports events to entertainment tentpoles. You will also interact with Fox Sports, Entertainment, and News team to support daily transmission needs and testing of new distribution solutions. This is a mission-critical, behind-the-scenes role where every decision can make a difference in how the world experiences FOX.

If you're excited about live media, thrive under pressure, and want to be part of a cutting-edge team that blends broadcast expertise with digital innovation—this is the role for you.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee quality assurance, monitoring, reporting, and incident management across all FOX platforms, including linear, OTT, and digital.
  • Monitor and switch all inbound and outbound transmission systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve signal quality and routing issues using standard procedures.
  • Perform live transmission check-ins with remote production venues during major events.
  • Manage feed windows and rights timing during live sports and entertainment programming.
  • Set up equipment for feed ingest and distribution across multiple endpoints.
  • Escalate unresolved incidents to appropriate technical teams and maintain clear communication throughout.
  • Provide regular status updates to management, affiliates, and downstream partners.
  • Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery efforts.
  • Partner closely with engineering, live media, consumer product, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • A team-first mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate under pressure.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, live event environment where decisions must be made quickly and effectively.
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for media and emerging technology—this is where innovation meets execution.
  • A proactive, curious attitude toward learning and improving every day.
  • Comfort cross-training and jumping in to support other teams as needed.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Familiarity with signal transmission and emerging standards like 4K, HDR, HDR10+.
  • Prior experience in broadcast, digital streaming, or live event operations.
  • Customer service, help desk, or Network Operations Center experience in high-pressure environments.
  •  Knowledge of emerging technologies such as 4K High Dynamic Range, and HDR10+ is a plus
