We are looking for…FOX Weather is looking for a Senior Producer to join our Content Core team in New York City. The FOX Weather Content Core is on the front lines of the weather news industry and critical to driving the overall content strategy of FOX Weather that powers our live programming, digital articles & videos on foxweather.com and the FOX Weather app and content across all social media platforms. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direction of Manager, Content Core, assign content to chase and produce across all verticals, prioritizing breaking weather news as the team’s number one urgency
Set assignment deadlines and hold Content Producers accountable for productivity
Edit all article and video content to ensure an excellent standard of quality
Ensure consistency of news and information when published across all platforms
Hunt and clear UGC for all of FOX Weather to use across all platforms
Write stories, clip videos, do basic video editing, post to social platforms as needed
Execute decisions for content assignments based off analytics, both real-time and historical trends
Verify accuracy for news and meteorological information cleared and produced by Content Core
Support all functions of FOX Weather’s Content Core, assisting with logistics for field team, ingestion requests and coordination internally and externally as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Must be able to handle delegating, assigning and all obligations of a demanding news cycle
Ability to utilize various content management, newsgathering and collaboration tools such as Airtable, Jira, Wordpress, WSI graphics among others
Extensive knowledge of meteorology and news cycle
Ability to work under deadline and pressure of a fast-paced newsroom
At least 6 years of experience in journalism, either digital outlets, traditional linear newsrooms or on an assignment desk
Willingness to work weekends, nights or early mornings

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-116,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
