JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Entertainment Global is FOX Entertainment’s centralized content sales division, providing the worldwide multi-platform marketplace with exclusive access to its diverse, rapidly expanding production pipeline and library of owned original programming and co-production partnerships. A central component of FOX Entertainment’s long-term growth strategy is to fortify its globally recognized, world-class brand and owned distribution platforms spanning broadcast and streaming with FOX Entertainment Global’s singular focus on broadly distributing the company’s full portfolio of owned intellectual property across all genres of scripted, unscripted, and animated programming, including both film and television titles.
FOX Entertainment Global has a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about the entertainment industry to be an Assistant, Content & Acquisitions, to support the Vice President, Content & Acquisitions, based in London. The Assistant, Content & Acquisitions will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing the VP's diary, travel arrangements, and expenses. This role involves tracking the full workflow of content submissions across various genres, such as scripted, unscripted, formats, film, and kids and family, from both third-party sources and internal stakeholders like FOX Studios, Network, and FOX-owned content partners, including UK-based Studio Ramsay and Bento Box in Ireland.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Content & Acquisitions (C&A) Vice President based in the UK
- Full PA calendar, travel, and expenses support to VP, Content & Acquisitions UK
- Track the full workflow of content submissions across all genres - including scripted, unscripted, formats, film, and kids & family - from both 3rd party sources and internal locally managed stakeholders, e.g,. FOX Studios, Network, and FOX-owned content partners, including UK-based Studio Ramsay (a FOX joint venture) + Bento Box in Ireland
- Track producers and content/acquisition opportunities out of the region
- Attend weekly team meetings and provide notes as needed
- Attend producer meetings with the VP when requested and take detailed notes and follow-ups as needed
- Manage schedules for markets and festivals
- Ensure the global sales force and content team have up-to-date materials and are properly equipped to take content to market
- Liaise with all internal departments to make sure requests are processed in a timely manner and the C&A team is aware of any issues that may arise - including but not limited to Legal, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Distribution delivery department, and Studio Operations
- Create presentation decks
- Read scripts and provide coverage where appropriate
- Research to identify new markets and global distribution trends, as well as buyer needs
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as the business requires
- Work with the C&A team and regional Sales teams to collate territory-by-territory feedback and create worldwide sales update and performance docs for content partners and internal stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with the support teams at Studio and Network and all other FOX-owned entities as required
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 1+ years of previous experience in content acquisitions, content strategy, co-production, sales, or TV or Film distribution environment, with a track record in a client-facing role
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and Keynote
- Collaborative and flexible team player with professional demeanor
- Ability to build and foster internal and external relationships
- Ability to work with high-level senior managers and demonstrate discretion
- Ability to manage scheduling across multiple time zones
- Familiarity and deep passion for the global TV landscape
- A can-do attitude and an ambition to progress a career within the international content industry
