OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

FOX Entertainment

With a legacy spanning more than 35 years, FOX Entertainment is one of the world’s most recognizable media brands and a prolific content producer across its iconic broadcast network and both owned and third-party streaming platforms. Known for its independent, innovative spirit and provocative, groundbreaking storytelling, the company was reinvented in 2019 with the formation of FOX Entertainment. While maintaining its leadership in broadcast television (9-1-1: Lone Star, The Simpsons, The Cleaning Lady, Hell’s Kitchen, LEGO Masters), the company is actively building a portfolio of businesses and library of owned original content. To date, FOX Entertainment’s long-term growth strategy has included the acquisitions of award-winning animation studio Bento Box Entertainment (Bob’s Burgers, The Great North, Krapopolis, Grimsburg), entertainment platform TMZ, and global production studio MarVista Entertainment (The Way Home, Rescuing Christmas), as well as the formation of the culinary and lifestyle content venture Studio Ramsay Global (Next Level Chef, Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars) in partnership with Gordon Ramsay. The company also established its in-house unscripted studio FOX Alternative Entertainment (The Masked Singer, Snake Oil, I Can See Your Voice, Name That Tune), FOX Entertainment Studios (Animal Control) to develop scripted content, and worldwide content sales unit FOX Entertainment Global.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Entertainment Global is entering an exciting phase of growth and creative expansion. To support this trajectory, the organization is seeking a seasoned and visionary Senior Vice President, Content & Acquisitions to lead the sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation of world-class content across all formats—scripted, unscripted, formats, and film—for global distribution.

This executive will be responsible for identifying content that aligns with FOX’s commercial goals, brand voice, and distribution strategy across a rapidly evolving landscape of platforms, windows, and audience behaviors. The role is equal parts creative, strategist, operational architect, and dealmaker, and will be central to how FOX Entertainment Global builds and curates its global catalog in the years ahead.

This is not a passive acquisition role. The SVP will play a leading role in shaping the editorial and financial direction of the business—partnering closely with internal FOX divisions (Tubi, FOX Network, FOX Entertainment Studios, etc) to secure pipeline visibility and maximize the group’s leverage. Simultaneously, the role requires active engagement with the external marketplace to forge new partnerships, pursue co-productions, secure rights, and identify content that has both local impact and international reach.

This individual will also be responsible for building a best-in-class acquisitions infrastructure—managing a high-performing team and establishing workflows for rights tracking, pipeline reporting, deal execution, and financial oversight.

Reporting directly to the President of FOX Entertainment Global, this role will be a key part of the senior leadership team, and hence, a high-impact position for a commercially-minded content executive with deep industry relationships, a strategic mindset, and the ability to marry editorial instinct with market insight.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop a high-performing acquisitions team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation
  • Lead the overarching content acquisition strategy for FOX Entertainment Global across scripted, unscripted formats, and film
  • Source and evaluate high-quality programming that aligns with FOX’s brand, audience expectations, and commercial goals
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with key partners within FOX—including Tubi, FOX Network, Studios, FOX Nation, and others—to identify internal pipeline opportunities and optimize rights exploitation
  • Negotiate and close content acquisitions, co-production, and format deals with both internal and external partners
  • Build and manage relationships with producers, studios, agents, rights holders, and financiers globally
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for key negotiations and strategic content decisions
  • Drive innovation in sourcing, packaging, deficit financing, and international partnership models across the global content landscape
  • Develop and implement workflows for deal execution, rights tracking, reporting, and contract lifecycle management
  • Use financial modeling and sales projections to inform investment decisions and measure content performance
  • Collaborate closely with global sales teams to ensure acquired content meets market needs and commercial objectives
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, platform strategies, and competitive landscapes across global territories
  • Represent FOX Entertainment Global at key markets, festivals, and industry events (e.g., MIPCOM, NATPE, Series Mania)
  • Align acquisition strategies with the broader goals of Sales, Strategy, Finance, Business Affairs, and Operations
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on deal activity, market trends, pipeline health, and ROI
  • Champion FOX Entertainment’s values and culture in all internal and external relationships
  • Support investment planning and budget oversight in close coordination with Finance and Strategy
  • Leverage insights from internal data, customer feedback, and market intelligence to continuously refine the acquisition strategy
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the President of FOX Entertainment Global, contributing to broader organizational planning and decision-making
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador for FOX Entertainment Global, internally and externally, upholding the company’s values of independence, innovation, and excellence

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Proven ability to lead and scale content pipelines within a global, multi-platform entertainment ecosystem (including AVOD, SVOD, FAST, Pay TV, and broadcast)
  • Experience working with both finished product and early-stage development, including co-productions, first-look deals, and format licensing
  • Strong editorial sensibility and the ability to assess creative work for global potential and commercial fit
  • Fluency in deal structures, rights management, contract terms, back-end participation, and windowing strategies
  • Deep understanding of current market dynamics, including shifting platform priorities, audience trends, and content monetization models
