We have a great opportunity for someone passionate about movies, as well as other forms of entertainment, to be an Assistant on the Creative Affairs/Original Movies team. In this dynamic role, the Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the department, focusing on both creative development and current productions. The ideal candidate must be able to work well within a team in an environment of constantly shifting priorities.
Key qualities include outstanding organizational and verbal communication skills, a solid understanding of the industry, and a strong desire to continue to grow in scripted television. Excellent writing skills are essential. Additionally, the ability to anticipate the needs of executives, confidently multitask, and prioritize under pressure in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage team development databases and project records, grids, and trackers, including logging samples and submissions
Track network and streamer partners’ mandates and contacts, as well as industry trends
Oversee readers and story coverage, as well as interns
Create handouts and agendas for team meetings
Source and analyze writers, directors, IP, etc., to help build and sustain a robust TV pipeline that aligns with department and overall company strategy/goals
Review scripts and give feedback, in rare cases writing script coverage
Assist the team in the development of pitch materials, including concept paragraphs, loglines, synopses, and pitch decks as necessary
Work closely with senior executives on pitches and active projects, as well as participate in calls and meetings
Collaborate with other departments to secure necessary support materials for development, greenlight, production, post, and delivery
Maintain a strong network of junior reps and coordinators to bring in potential new talent or creative material for review
Miscellaneous research projects
Coordinate Vice Presidents' calendars and assist with expenses and travel as necessary (reorder this bullet last instead of first)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
2+ years of consistent experience in the film industry, with agency experience a plus
Embodies the principles of gratitude, truthfulness, collaboration, resilience, and initiative
In depth knowledge of the film industry landscape and players
Passionate about reading with exceptional writing skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate issues and foresee potential scheduling or project conflicts
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy
Excellent time management and communication abilities
Deadline-driven and capable of working independently when needed
Skilled in creating visually appealing charts, presentations, and one-sheets
Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and Adobe Acrobat
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
Experience with Final Draft, film editing, graphic design, and screenwriting
Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $23.50-25.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
