FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX 10, Arizona’s preeminent source for news, is seeking a talented, passionate, creative, and collaborative News Photographer to join our dynamic team! Responsibilities include:

• Covering general news assignments in a fast-paced environment, utilizing electronic video camera, cell phones and editing equipment with techniques appropriate to each story.
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of various camera and media formats.
• Applying recent, hands-on TV news photography experience from on-the-street assignments.
• Proficiently operating live ENG remote equipment with streaming platforms.
• Possessing excellent storytelling techniques, including expert composition, effective use of audio, strategic lighting and, incorporation of graphical elements for audiences across our linear and digital platforms.
• Performing significant editing duties, both in the field and at the station, for various linear/digital shows and segments under tight time constraints using non-linear editing equipment.
• Demonstrating a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere or comparable editing platforms.
• Familiarity with Bitcentral newsroom systems and iNews is a plus.
• Active collaboration with the FOX 10 digital/streaming teams to develop and implement strategies for FOX Local Mobile, CTV,  FOX 10 YouTube page, social platforms, and FOX 10 website.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to cross-train into other areas of the news operation as needed.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as the job requires.
• Ability to travel as needed, both in-state and out-of-state, including overnight stays - often with very short notice.
• High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of equipment.
• Must be able to drive, provide proof of insurance, obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license, and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $27.32-29.72 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
