OutKick is looking for a Manager of Public Relations. As a Manager, you are a savvy publicist and a strategic thinker who has a solid understanding of the sports world and is willing to work hard and develop creative PR strategies to elevate an emerging brand.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute press strategies surrounding all editorial initiatives, key talent, and streaming programming
Secure impactful media placements to introduce and elevate the brand with an even wider consumer audience
Publicize breaking news reports and opinion content
Manage press for monthly & quarterly digital performance
Cultivate strong relationships with media
Manage all media monitoring for the platform
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications
4-6 years of experience in the media relations/public relations industry
Strong interest in sports, media, pop culture, and current events
Self-motivated with dynamic project management skills and an ability to work independently
Excellent writing skills
Results-oriented approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced news cycle
Knowledge of the latest industry trends and competitive news landscape
Exceptional communication and organizational skills with a thorough and detail-oriented command of information
Self-starter who is highly dependable and trustworthy
Flexibility to work nights and weekends as the job requires
