JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Corporation is seeking a Director of Marketing Planning & Revenue Optimization to work closely with Marketing Leadership to determine how to best combine data-driven strategy and solutions with innovative thinking to drive strong revenue growth for the future.This role also partners with our leading Brands – Fox News, Fox Business, Fox Sports, Fox Entertainment and Fox TV Stations - to proactively identify opportunities to create business value and grow revenues for our digital properties.     A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct strategic analysis around new opportunities by reviewing marketing insights & core business performance to drive revenue growth.
    • Analyze data (in partnership with Reporting and Insights) to stay one step ahead of emerging business needs and revenue growth aspirations from a marketing perspective.
    • Review research & competitive benchmarks (in partnership with Research) to build and inform marketing tactics and revenue optimization opportunities.
    • Identify and actively explore high-potential opportunities; partner with the marketing teams and others (finance, distribution, etc.) to test these ideas (if warranted).
    • Help formulate strategic frameworks and ways to assess revenue optimization ideas – so that leadership can prioritize despite unknowns about the future.
    • Partner with Director of Reporting & Insights on forecasts for specific products and revenue streams – with a focus on new products and new revenue streams.
    • Collaborate with finance and the brands to build data-driven insights and surface impactful new ideas / opportunities.
    • Provide sound judgement when challenging the status quo.
    • Influence both senior and junior extended team members (without direct-reporting relationships) to ensure that new ideas are “bought-in” by the larger organization.
    • Create and own all C-level presentations in partnership with the VP of Marketing Planning, Reporting & Research (as well as other marketing leadership).
    • Take on ad-hoc requests/projects from senior management as needed.
    • Perform chief-of-staff duties for senior management as needed.

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    • Master of Business Administration preferred.

    • 5+ years of overall work experience in a corporate strategic planning role or at a large start-up.
    • 3+ years of experience in Consulting, Finance and/or Investment Banking.
    • 2+ years of working in the marketing sector and/or media industry.
    • Expert in PowerPoint and Excel as well as other tools for building presentations and conducting quick analyses.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage priorities/deadlines.
    • Ability to adapt to new situations and changing priorities.
    • Demonstrated understanding of balancing both the short & long-term business needs.
    • Exceptional attention to detail in both performing analyses and building presentations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams to execute on business initiatives.
    • Self-starter, who can work effectively, autonomously and drive results.
    • Quick learner and can draw from other industries and experiences

    • Excited by new business ventures and can obtain buy-in from others.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy problem solving as well as decision-making/
    • Action-oriented, not just thoughtful and insightful/
    • Lead without having the title or role through soft power & influence.
