Job Description

FoxNext is seeking a strategic, creative, and results-oriented leader to join the team. The role will be heavily involved with the development of positioning, target audience identification, dating, consumer and industry research, analysis of the market and competitive landscape, budgeting, ROI focus, creative, messaging and communications. He/she will be at the table from the outset, ensuring all boxes are checked, all stakeholders engaged, all communications managed. Role reports to Executive Vice President, Head of Marketing.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead branding, positioning and messaging strategies for all products and experiences
  • Create holistic and streamlined marketing campaigns with quantifiable objectives to measure results
  • Work extensively with cross-functional peers across the film and TV divisions to ensure outstanding execution of marketing plans
  • Create data-driven campaigns that maximize effectiveness across projects
  • Lead FoxNext branding and positioning for B2C and B2B
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative data findings to decision-making around development of marketing plans
  • Keeps finger on the pulse of trends, innovation and emerging technologies
  • Provide thought leadership to organization
  • Implement and manage marketing budgets
  • Work closely with distribution partners internally and externally

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of product/brand management/marketing experience, including prior P&L responsibility
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing time and resources based on business impact
  • Entertainment industry experience (film and TV marketing) and/or experience gained in an entrepreneurial, “start-up”, with high expectations and limited resources
  • Outstanding analytical skills, demonstrating an ability to recommend and implement business opportunities based on synthesizing data
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Flexibility, ability to work under tight timelines
  • Good humor and positive, passionate approach to work
  • Proficient at establishing relationships with cross-functional peers
  • Adept at managing and negotiating with vendors and agencies

Division Description:

FoxNext is driving immersive, next generation entertainment experiences in the areas of virtual and augmented reality, mobile, console and pc games and location-based entertainment across Twentieth Century Fox Film and Fox Network Group. The division consists of FoxNext Games, FoxNext Destinations and FoxNext VR Studio. Fox has a successful track record identifying exceptional games and publishing partners across the mobile and console/PC space, such as Family Guy: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game, Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards, The Simpsons Tapped Out, Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff, Ice Age Adventures, Sugar Smash: Book of Life and Alien: Isolation. FoxNext VR Studio will oversee VR experiences, such as the already announced ALIEN and PLANET OF THE APES productions, and work to commercialize Fox’s overarching VR strategy. FoxNext Destinations will oversee the company’s location-based entertainment business including the development of the 20th Century Fox World theme park in Malaysia.
