This position is reporting to the Executive Director, Strategic Operations and will be responsible for managing the timely and accurate processing of all assigned content distribution deals across all lines of business. The candidate must be comfortable with legal agreements and must have strong analytical skills to understand and translate contractual terms in a sales-finance system. He/She must be a self-starter and be able make sound business/operational decisions independently in order to achieve the requirements and expected output for the role. He/She must be a critical thinker and have the ability to identify gaps in existing processes for business/operational improvement opportunities. This individual will foster and develop internal business relationships and will interface with the following teams/departments including: Deal Management, Sales, Legal, Accounting, Finance, and Enterprise Operations.


The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and be adept at building relationships with leaders at multiple levels across the organization. The candidate must be able to handle proprietary information (such as legal agreements) in order to support a rapidly changing organization. Using strong communicating skills, this individual will effectively collaborate with a variety of teams with various job functions, have the ability to perform professionally in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The candidate is expected to produce insights into the business, its processes, systems, and will help drive initial conversations that can influence key business decisions.

  • Manage the timely processing of contract initiation and standard workflows for all media for his/her assigned territories/region.
  • Work closely with the Deal Management department for initial customer and contract set-up.
  • Able to assess and analyze complex distribution license agreement and translate legal terminology to into our sales systems.
  • Work closely with various levels of management in the Strategic Operations department including the EVP of Operations, VP of Strategic Ops, and Executive Director of Strategic Ops – the individual will assist in the execution of various projects that will impact sales operations decisions within the division.
  • Liaise with Deal Management and Enterprise Rights Management for license rights and distribution rights conflicts resolutions.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounting during quarter and yearly target dates to ensure all SOP and compliance or corporate requirements are met.
  • Create best practices and territory guidelines for assigned territories/regions.
  • Identify system improvements and bugs for process enhancements and to further increase efficiency.
  • Must be familiar with technological trends to evaluate method of transmission and rights that are granted in contracts for entry.
  • Assist in developing process mapping in order to identify business process improvement opportunities.
  • Undertake special projects and/or the implementation of strategic initiatives for the company.
  • Work closely with the Manager and Executive Director on presentations for senior management.

  • The position requires an extremely capable individual who is motivated, tactful and able to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex licensing agreements.
  • Highly organized, extremely detail oriented and require minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in priority and/or direction easily.
  • MS Office applications expert (Word, Outlook, Visio, PPT with advanced Excel skills, with knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, macros and v-lookup required).
  • Analytical business intelligence experience (e.g. data management, reporting, data analytics and metrics)
  • A strong relationship builder with excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Flexible and nimble with a commitment to getting the job done and going the extra mile.
  • Experience working within a larger, multi-national organization.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in distribution or a related field.
  • Bachelor degree required, MBA a plus.
  • Passion and flair for the film and television industry.
